Flying

Flying
unbelievable
soaring with the clouds
where up and down
moves the horizon
the emotion
of the moment
rekindles
with each flight
somehow it
feels natural
as if
man were born to fly
the sky
being an artificial limit
we place behind us
it is here
in the heights
that the laws
of the universe
get real -- real quick
an engine sputters
a lever binds
the gasoline runs out
and the laws
of the universe
take over
real quick
seeing the trees
or a telephone wire
handling a quick breeze
or going by another flyer
all events
have new meaning
altitude
requires discipline,
quick thinking,
and a view
with the end in mind
on the other hand
so it is
with all of life
